(A piece of political doggerel verse)
We are all in this together, is the Tories battle cry,
If you believe that rubbish you,ll believe a pig can fly.
We,re all in this together,we must cut to make things right.
But it,s us who've been dropped in it, the rest,s a load of shite.
Since Robin Hood of Nottingham gave wealthy folk the poke,
And redistributed their wealth among the poorer folk.
The upper classes have been bent on getting their own back,
And they always use the Tories to front each new attack.
But lately there has been a change,and now the working man,
Has nobody to fight his cause, Find someone if you can,
Among the different parties who,ll defend the lower classes,
When every bloody party just look like Tory asses.
If I worked as a builder, and stole from him a brick,
I,d be up in court in no time flat and dragged off to the nick.
Yet bankers rip off billions and get away Scot free,
It really doesn't seem quite fair I,m sure you must agree.
When we borrow money from a bank,with interest we repay,
And if we don't the bailiffs come and take our stuff away.
Yet when the banks nick all our dosh to fund a gambling spree,
We must pay for there cock ups. It don't seem right to me.
When Government used our money to bail the buggers out,
I don't recall them asking If I minded, they said nowt.
And now if what we hear is true the government is broke,
And we must pay ourselves back, what a bloody joke.
So where are all the bankers now who caused this blasted mess,
And how do we poor peasants ever hope to get redress.
The bankers, with fat pensions have buggered off abroad,
While we must work until we drop, don,t they call that fraud.
If this lot ever have their way, the workhouse will return,
Cause if there are no bloody jobs then how do people earn.
We,ll be back in the time of Dickens, the bad old times long gone.
So to paraphrase young Tiny Tim. Gawd help us, everyone.
