SHE'S BACK

It is with enormous relief that I tell you that Moth our missing cat returned late last night,it was not the end of our troubles but at home, for which relief much thanks.

Judging by Twiggys behaviour after Moths return we think it likely that it was she who had been preventing Moth from returning to the house, for after Moth managed to get in through a window,Twiggy spent the next couple of hours preventing her from going upstairs ;where she now resides.

Twiggy's behaviour was so very odd that at first I was quite at a loss to understand, then suddenly the penny dropped. Pa is the one who always gives her breakfast every day, yesterday he was in a hurry and forgot, he also forgot to mention the fact to me.
Poor Twiggy, by the afternoon she was starving and only appeared once to munch a few of Moths crunchies from her bowl upstairs before disappearing for hours.

By the time pa returned, black and blue from his three falls, and exhausted from the journey I was far too concerned about him to notice anything else. Pa was wobbly and more than little vague which is always a worry.

Only when Pa was safely in bed did it dawn on me what was wrong with Twiggy,of course I fed her at once with the best the house had to offer and she wolfed down the lot in record time. While she was distracted Moth nipped smartly upstairs and peace was restored for the night.
Twiggy and Moth were much more settled this morning, unfortunately Pa was much worse ,in a good deal of pain and even more woosey.

I kept him in bed all day,he ate nothing and drank little but by evening he brightened up and joined us for dinner after which he had an early shower and went back to bed.

Things have been fraught and I am very tired tonight but my son is happy again now that his beloved cat has returned and Pa seems a little better,so I shall hope for a better tomorrow.

It is hard knowing that Pa will never really get better in fact his arthritis will soon confine him to a wheelchair, his neck, which is soon to be given an M.R.I. is worsening rapidly which is a great worry.

Even so, we are together and have enough of everything we need, in this we are luckier than many people in this troubled world of ours.

No matter how bad the day has been there is always something to be thankful for.........always.
