WANTED HONEST POLITICIAN,PREVIOUS CANDIDATES MAY NOT APPLY

My normally mild mannered son stormed in to my room this afternoon with”You'll never guess what those Tory bastards are going to do?” With iniquitous decisions being made by the coalition day in and day out I confessed myself at a loss to answer.

“Not content with burying today's students in debt they are going to increase the interest rate on student loans taken out when I started at university.....twelve years ago!”

This diabolical action is insupportable and those responsible for the decision should be ashamed of themselves. This band of desperado’s currently in Government would skin their own Granny for a couple of pence, this same bunch of pick pockets will not however oblige the rich corporations to pay tax on their earnings.

This week Thames Water declared a two billion pound profit, two billion, on which they have not paid a penny in tax. They join a long list of tax dodgers, like Starbucks,Google,Amazon and the Barclay Brothers. Our toothless granny bashing Government has refused to look into the questionable activities of the Brothers Barclay.......I wonder why? Both Prime Minister Cameron and chancellor George Osborne have spend quite a lot of time on the Barclay Boys private island, Brecqhou, on of the smaller Channel Islands.

This chumminess is disturbing under the circumstances and extremely inappropriate. It shows in what contempt our leaders hold the ordinary person, you and I. My husband has worked hard all his life, now he is unable to work and is crippled with arthritis, has diabetes, epilepsy and narcolepsy.

We survive on the pittance paid in disability allowances and although I too am disabled I do not claim these benefits for myself. On this tiny sum of money my husband pays income tax...I kid you not! I know that it's difficult to believe but it's true, yet when you work out how little we have to live on compared to the national average wage ,you would be forgiven for wondering why he should have to pay any tax at all?

Some over paid, over fed, under worked hooray Henry has decided that we can live of the tiny sum allowed. Living with disability is tough enough without having to worry about having enough to eat or paying the bills. Pa needs to be kept warm, this means huge energy bills in winter, Pa has special dietary needs,no allowance is made for this.

We both need to use mobility scooters ,these we have purchased ourselves second hand , these machines need to be serviced regularly and insured, no allowance is made for this. The alternative to this form of transport is taxi cabs as our nearest bus stop is over half a mile away. We cannot afford taxis all the time.

Guys Hospital has a service which collects patients and delivers then to the hospital, we tried this service last time Pa had an appointment. The appointment was for twelve noon, the last of that days clinic slots, the ambulance arrived at eleven forty five, meaning that there was no chance of keeping this vital appointment. The driver was rude the controllers unhelpful, the service useless.

People like us live on the edge of an abyss, yet the government takes money from us in taxation.

What I cannot understand is why they are being allowed to get away with this daylight robbery, they make the “Difficult decisions” but it is we who have to live with them. They and their rich buddies are not touched by this recession they do not have to decide weather to eat or heat.

They tell us we mush prepare for more cuts, we are addressed as naughty school children, we must atone for the waste of the past....BUT....hang on a minute I am sure that we did not buy in to toxic American mortgages. I am equally sure that we did not play fast and loose with other peoples money and lose the gamble. WE ARE THE INJURED PARTIES and they are treating us like the villains of the piece. Don't you believe it.

It is time that we as a people realised that we can and should give these characters their marching orders. Remember the pole tax riots,I do I was there. Some many people refused to pay the courts became choked with case and the situation became unworkable.

Of course I know that we can not stop the government for extracting income tax from our wage packets but there are other ways of disrupting their cosy lives.
Beginning with local Authorities, who waste a fortune on dodgy contractors and useless initiatives ,ours has made cuts in sheltered housing but still insists that the grass must never be allowed to grow higher that 8cm,..its ludicrous.

We must not let those who rule divide us,set us at each others throats. The unemployed are not the villains here, nor are the elderly and disabled, it is easy to forget that any one of us could be out of a job or become permanently disabled at any time...no one is immune;just as no one is immune from growing old! We as a people must stand together, the young, who are suffering most of all and the old, shoulder to shoulder, working mums, small business men, everyone ,all together.
This is our fight and it is our time to show the world what we are made of.

We have been the slaves of the big corporations and the banks for too long. For too long we have allowed them to manipulate our lives binding us to them with debt, while still believing ourselves to be free. This will stop if we stop playing their game, the price of freedom is always high, this time it's freedom against a platinum credit card or a mortgage, a new car every year or an expensive holiday.
To go back to where I began, these people are now in the business of making sure that the next generation gets used to being in debt,to saddle eighteen year olds with huge loans is immoral, and in the case of those, who like my son are well on the way to paying off their student loan they; are changing the rules to keep them on the hook.
Fight, for your children's and your grand children's sakes if not your own,the banks and the politicians should be working for us,not vis-versa,it's time we reminded them who's the boss.
