TWEEDLEDUM AND TWEEDLEDUMMER

While resting last night as I was ordered by my son to do (he can be a bossy boots) bless him. I occupied myself in the writing of this piece of doggerel verse.

Those who have been reading my blog for the last week or so will easily recognise the the two being lampooned. those who have not........well take a wild guess

                                                     Tweedledum and Tweddledummer

Tweedledum and Tweedledee Built themselves a castle.
But Tweedledum and Tweedledee got in to lots of hassle.
They though they were a cut above, the rest of this fine nation,
And so decided to forget the matter of taxation.

They were surprised when shouts and screams disturbed their peace and quite
When poor and sick and elderly started a bloody riot.
Why should we from our pittance pay, they cried out in vexation,
While crooks like these use havens so as not to pay taxation.

Tweedledum and Tweedledee threatened litigation,
As to the Inland revenue they felt no obligation.
Then to their friends in government they applied for dispensation
But found their cronies had been forced to change the legislation.

What should we do with the Tweedle Two now they have both been sat on.
What punishment should we decide,we who the pair have shat on.
To banish them to some off shore dump ,would be most apt and funny,
And the folks whom they have cheated should be given all their money.

So long as those who like these two, refuse to pay their dues
It is the sick and needy who will be the ones to lose.
We are all together in this mess, the politicians say.
And its time that we made certain that it truly is that way.

Shame on the corporations who bleed the nation dry.
Who make us slaves, right from our birth until the day we die.
Shame on our government who let the blighter’s cheat us blind.
Rise Britain now ,and give them all, a kick up the behind.

And as for other nations who condone this grave offence
Allowing greed to vanquish need ,let's hope they soon see sense.
The wind of change is coming and it cannot blow too soon,
Its time that we who have to pay the piper called the tune.
